Not settled yet as to whether it will be PC or MAC.

Will the top end Spider3 work to properly profile dual monitor setups
on both?

Yes, and no. If you are choosing a platform based on how well it deals with dual display calibration, definately go with the Mac. (If you even have the choice of one or the other, than the answer probably is Mac anyways). On the Mac I've not heard of a system built within the last few years that didn't deal flawlessly with dual displays. On Windows, it depends on several factors, but mostly the videocard(s). In most cases, having a PCI express card will allow dual display calibration and profiling. Other types of cards vary, depending on brand, make, model, and driver version. Using two cards is much more foolproof, but there are still occasional issues with keeping calibration data flashed to the videocards. Vista, unfortunately seems to be a bit worse, not better, about this. This doesn't actually have a lot to do with our products, its mostly a matter of Microsoft and videocard issues beyond our control...
