Should have mentioned it in the first post but tried cable change and direct 
port even before 
reloading the software.  Just now tried it with the older G4 Tiger and a direct 
port and got a 
similar reddish orange with an impossible Lab value (a=-167) on what should have 
been a 
Dmax on a glossy paper. 
Start a support ticket on our website, and note that I said for them to replace your spectro...
