The newsletter does not provide the information we need about the Spyder3 Utility. The newsletter describes what the tabs are - but that "information" is clear once you luanch the utility. (I suppose if you are wondering if you should install the newest version - no longer 3.06, now 3.07 - the newsletter tidbit is interesting.) What we need is more detailed information, such as explain how often and why we need to "Load Video Card LUT". Or explain the benefit/necessity of Certification. Does Certification ad a process or service to Vista/XP that could cause a conflict? I have sent email to Tech Support, have not received answers. Whoever is writing the software must know - would help us if a document was put on your website explaining such matters. --- In colorvision_group@yahoogroups.com, CDTobie <CDTobie@...> wrote: > > > > > apparently SOLVED on my system with ver 3.0.7. The first list item is now "Explain Status." Selecting this item will bring up a floating window which contains information about your displays, including Certification status, Calibration status, and Ambient Light status. > S3Utility now has a tabbed Preferences pane with a General section for controlling the length of time dialogs are displayed, and choices of LED indicator function. An Ambient section offers choices for how often to check the ambient light. A Certification section offers a number of choices for Certification frequency, and a Recalibration section offers choices for frequency of Recalibration checks and reminders. > > > C.
