Like David said, it is not possible. However, what you really need is a profile for your monitor. You don’t really need to calibrate your monitor under OS 9. So you could temporarily boot from an external disk using and OS X 10.4 or 10.5. You calibrate the monitor and create your monitor profile with the Spyder3. Then you copy this profile in the OS 9 system folder and you eventually use it in the colorsync control panel as usual.

Now, I can already heard some peoples saying that it can\u2019t be done due to the fact that OS 9 and OS X are two different OS and the video card is not be managed by the same driver and that your profile created under X will not be valid under OS 9.

Of course there is no guarantee, but my own experience with G4 (I used about all models in the past) is that the video card drivers (ATI or Nvidia but mostly ATI), produce exactly the same image under OS 9 than under OS X.

You mileage may vary but if you really need it, then it is worth try.

(Note: OS X Installation time on a separate volume will be shorter with 10.4 than 10.5, then upgrade it to 10.4.11 to be sure that it runs smoothly with the Spyder 3)

Good luck!
