I'm not sure what the problem is, and printer profiling is what I work on, but if you can open a support ticket about this on the Datacolor system to get an official question started about it, email me off-list at dmiller@... and I'll make an effort to get the developer of the Elite software to look into this over the weekend, if he can. What happens if you use the hardware control(s) on the display to lower the brightness, before you start going through the calibration sequence?
