Gina: MS has incorporated various safeguards into Win7. Many of the things we could do with XP are difficult to accomplish in Win7. Windows has so many weaknesses and backdoors, for security reasons, many operations in Win7 have to be executed as administrator. Another issue is file permissions, they locked a lot of things down. I can't remember the correct term, but there is a way to lessen up some of the security stuff. I haven't had this problem, since I'm running XP on my main computer, but I've had to do a lot of tweaks on one of my Win7 boxes in order for things to run right. You would think that since you are the only user on the computer, you are the administrator. Unless you specify to run a program as "administrator," you aren't. I know this isn't a good answer, but might explain some of the problems.
