Browser color management is often a source of frustration for many
people. I'm not saying it's bad but for now it's inconsistantly
implemented and worse yet poorly understood by designers, no matter
which platform they are based on.

Windows color management has issues - but hey, look at Linux.
Considering it's origins and the main user base Windows has come a
long way. All three operating systems are used by artists to create
outstanding images.
