I am trying to calibrate my Kodak 1400's linear density and
neutrality.
I have been offered a spreadsheet to allow me to convert the spectral
data into density values, but I need to provide the wavelength range
of the measuring device. (ie, Xrite covers 400nm to 700nm...whereas
GreatMacbeth devices cover 380nm to 730nm)
With IR and UV filters in place, there tends to not be much data at the extreme ends anyway... mostly this has to do with getting the starting point and number of spectral samples set up correctly.
I have searched and searched and I cannot find this information
anywhere.
Does any one here know?
Since the DC 1005 is not providing you with spectral data, there is no way for you to do your own density calculations. We hope to add the full series of Status A and T density values to the device's output formats in the future, but I have not heard of any device requiring "linear density" values. Can you tell me where in the usual array of density functions they occur?
