OK, but how do you reach a specific candela value while tweaking your knobs? Does CV spyder give you a measurement of black and white point as you tweak or do you need an extra piece of gear specificaly aimed at measuring a display luminance in candela which you would stick in front of your screen while having a white chart and then tweak which ever knob until you get to the right setting? How would you then take ambiant light into account?
