Mac Photoshop 9.0.1 printing bug revealed....severe banding

2006-05-24 by John Vitollo

Looks like there is a printing problem in Mac Photoshop CS2 (9.0) that has manifest itself
with the latest 9.0.1 update. It also could be related to the latest Apple OS 10.4.6 update.

Here's a copy and paste from Adobe's Photoshop Forum:

"You're not crazy, this is a real issue. And it isn't just a 9.0.1 issue, it predates (for some like
myself) this update. And no, it's not an issue like double profiling which is obvious. The
issues I've seen are often subtle (almost always in reds) and looks like some severe banding. I
can take the same data, color managed in Photoshop and print it in InDesign and not have
the effect show up. Something is going on, why it is now manifesting itself for some after the
update (but not others) is the question."
