Sypder3 Express versus Pro Colorimeter difference

Sypder3 Express versus Pro Colorimeter difference

2010-06-01 by debjit_g

Is the colorimeter on Sypder3 Express same as Sypder 3 Pro ? I wanted to use it with a wide gamut display but not interested in the flexible software features that Pro offers. From colorimeter point of view, are they both the same and can handle wide gamut display ?

thanks in advance,
deb

Yes, while the Express sensor does not have an ambient light sensor,
it's screen reading sensors and related elements are the same as
Elite. So while you'll miss out on advanced gray balance functions and
other such software based abilities. But in terms of reading wide
gamut colors, they will be the same.
