For a windows application I need to profile displays without calibrating the display. That is, I just want to create an .icm/icc file that describes the color/luminance configuration of the default system, without the software installing the SpyderUtility on the computer that automatically starts loading calibration data into the LUT of the video card.
Is there a way to do this with the Spyder4Pro?
Spyder4Elite can do this from the Expert Console, by unchecking "Calibration On" then as next action, choosing "Profile Only". Pro does not have this function, it uses a wizard-based process to calibrate the display, and then profile it. The resulting profile will not have any video-card VLUT data, so you can leave Spyder Utility running, and leave this profile set as your display profile, and the LUT data loaded will be null, producing no changes as video is processed through the video card.
