Still having problems with neutrality

Still having problems with neutrality

2006-04-07 by Helen Bach

I'm still having difficulties getting a greyscale to print neutrally
with profiles made with PFP. The biggest problem is in the highlights.
Neutral and near-neutral highlights have a distinct blue-magenta cast.
I'm using the 729 patch target and Epson Premium Glossy, which has no
OBAs. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Helen

Please print the Print Quality Check Image TIFF from the Targets folder
as a full page image, through the profile in question, let dry, and
then measure the gray patches from black to lightest grey, then paper
white, into an export log as Lab values, and send me (not the list) an
email with that measurement set in an attached Zip file. Note in the
body of the email, printer, paper, inks, and what viewing conditions
you are using.

thanks,
