Does the Paper Really Matter?

Does the Paper Really Matter?

2006-04-16 by hanson102

when building a profile, i noticed that PFP asks for the paper type
used. does this mean that i have to build a profile for each type of
paper?

- glossy
- matte
- texturized
- metallic

thanks!

Yes... you need a profile for each PAPER / Ink combination.

Yup, sure does!

Though it is worth trying it first... I found a profile for my peferred
glossy paper was virtually spot on for the lustre version!

PFP "asks" you for the paper type to label the targets...nothing more.

This helps keeping track of paper and profiles.

Every paper needs it's own profile.

Absolutely, even for papers so similar to the eye and hand that you have trouble telling them apart may need seperate profiles! Laser is much more consistant with differing media, but inkjet is very media-specific...
