The Disklavier functions of the 2 models may be similar; the musical instruments have some obvious differences. The C1 is a well-scaled small piano, suitable for the serious player who needs a smaller instrument. The GH1 is a piano built to compete with the inexpensive Korean pianos. As such there are some economies taken with the manufacture of this piano. The case and structure of this piano are not as heavy and strong as that of the C1, and the scaling is not as even. I cannot fault the GH1 action; the feel and performance are quite good. However, the sound of the GH1 is of concern to some. Pay particular attention to the "tenor" of the GH1. Play the middle C with the C an octave below and the B a half step down from middle C with the B an octave below. If these notes sound OK to you when the piano has been freshly tuned, OK. I believe it is very important to hear these pianos freshly tuned before you make an expensive purchase such as a piano. My personal opinion is that the C1 is well worth its additional cost over the GH1. When you consider that pianos can last decades, the additional cost is inconsequential over the life of the piano, but can provide a better quality sound every day of those decades.
