The E3 and DKC-850 remotes also have a Balance button that brings up the balance feature right away.
I should also mention that the iPhone/iPod touch/iPad app has a balance control.

On the Mark IV, tap the "Volume" icon at the top left of your PRC100 and you will get a screen which will display something like a small mixer, where you can adjust the volume of individual parts of a performance.On the E3 series, press "Volume+" or "Volume-" on your remote control and use the cursor buttons to select "Balance" which is on the menu bar at the op of the screen.
