Hi Jim, You stated that when in Quiet mode you have to hit the key to get any sound. Are you talking about when YOU play the piano or when the Disklavier is playing the piano? If you are talking about when YOU are playing the piano, the problem is not the solenoid, it is the sensor for that note. To confirm, record a song playing each key from lowest note to highest note. Play the song back and note which key(s) do not playback. Then, play back the song again, with the piano transposed up or down a couple of steps. Now watch what solenoids do not playback. If the SAME keys do not play back during both song playbacks, the problem is the solenoid. If DIFFERENT keys do not play back, the problem is related to the sensors. Let me know what you find. When in quiet mode you have to hit the key hard to get any sound... I was wondering if there is a way to clean these and check them other than just the post installation check routing in the PRC. I think I am still under warranty, 4 year old Piano. Thanks in advance. Jim
