Sounds like your floppy disk drive died. Replacement drives are available from Yamaha.

I am the new owner of a MX100II.  When the piano was delivered it played disks fine.  I went to play a disk this morning and all disks (both pre-loaded and user loaded) come up as "unformatted disk".   I tried to format a disk to maybe jog something and it won't format disks either.  Not sure why it would just stop working.  

I'm using the same disks that played perfectly when it was delivered.

Any help would be appreciated.
