Re: [disklavier] Re: Introduction!

2001-12-11 by Todd Muncy

Wrong software utilities Carol. Robert did not write the DkvUtils in our file vault. He wrote an e-seq file player that he named DKUtil, thus the confusion. Follow the link in my previous email if you want a copy of Robert's software. It allows you to pop an E-seq format floppy into your PC and play it through the sound card without doing any midi conversion. As Robert said, it was very handy when that was the only format your disklavier could record in. Now that everyone records in midi, it is less essential.

Ah, but YOUR software is much easier to use! I am so grateful you wrote it.
Don't say it is obsolete, though, because Disklaviers last a long time,
and people who have older models need your programs in order to play midi
files they find on the internet.

I have a question about Veloset. Most people who have DKVs say they play too
loudly, so I am attempting to regulate volume by manipulating the data. What
does the graph display in veloset? What do the high and low peaks
represent? If I just move the whole group as far to the left, the DKV plays
quieter, but you can never turn it up!

Thanks!
