Disconnecting the DKC-850 might be a good idea ,generally the control modules should all be bracketed and be able to be unscrewed for storage in a separate box or something. I'll leave more experienced guys on here to tell you about the pedal system cause that's something I'm not sure about, though I'm fairly sure if you read the service manual for the model of Disklavier you have (somebody on here should be able to give you it if you tell us the model number), it will tell you how to disconnect the pedal system. Other than that I'd say just make sure there's plenty of cloth and wrapping around the piano to keep it well protected, an experienced mover who works for a Yamaha dealer should know how to pack a piano for storage just make sure you get some kind of insurance or warranty in case anything happens to the piano, that's kinda an obvious thing to say but hey it's always best to be safe with something as expensive as that. Hope that helps. The moving company name was given to me by the local Yamaha dealer as they are suppose to know how to handle as they use them for delivery. Anything specially I should look for when they pack it up? I know someone mentioned there is a certain way to disconnect the pedal system. Also, I was going to remove the DKC850 control unit. Thanks. SJ
