It's possible to do this.  You need to convert your MIDI files to 
Disklavier format WAV files using the Windows utility MID2PianoCD:

Then burn the WAV files to an audio CD.  As far as I know, the Mark III 
cannot play MIDI files burned as files on a data CD.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
