If your pre-recorded floppies play fine internally, then try removing the cable from the MIDI IN of the wagon, then try playing to the piano from the computer.

I don't think I have any floppies to record to.

My brother-in-law used to record with the system and had no issues.

Playback is fine with any of the Disklavier floppies I have.

I may try and get a USB-MIDI and play through a laptop to see if the MIDI file is the issue.
