Re: [disklavier] Disklavier Hammer Sensors

There have been player pianos since the turn of the century that automatically vary the dynamics. They are known as reproducing pianos. Standard player pianos, when played properly also produce a realistic performance under the control of the operator.

Check out my web site for more information and for some sample recordings of these reproducing performances. I sell cds of emulations of the original performances that can be played on the Disklavier as well as many other systems.

the unique feature of the disklavier is that unlike a player piano that plays
all notes at the same volume the yamaha can actually record the pressure and
release speed of the musician henceforth a "real" recording
