Good morning, everyone. Captainray12, the calibration is very important and it’s a good thing that you did it. If your song files were recorded on a Disklavier, they should now play normally. However, I think that most commercial Disklavier recordings are recorded as though the pianist was playing for an audience in a large room or concert hall. Therefore, the performances are not soft. Depending upon the model of your piano, you may have greater or lesser success turning down the volume with the Disklavier’s volume control. In your case, since you are using a DKC-850, I am assuming that you have a Mark III or earlier piano. Unless it was a Mark III PRO or Mark IIXG PRO, the instrument will not play as softly as the more modern Disklaviers (both PRO and non-PRO). The usual techniques for further quieting the piano include: —thick carpet under the piano —lid closed —sound-absorbing foam installed in and under the piano The 3rd solution can be very helpful. Also listen for any unusually noisy solenoids while it is playing. Be aware that this takes a while and the keyboard measurement gets very noisy. > > > > Don't interrupt anything while it is measuring and don't press anything untill the "OK" message appears." > > > > This all worked, but did not solve the Loudness problem, which I'm beginning to believe there is no solution, after all it is a Baby Grand Piano. > > > >
