Subject: [disklavier] midi velocity

Richard Stibbons have written a fine utility for compressing and
decompressing midi velocities. It is extremely easy to use and can be set
to work on an entire directory of midi files once you find the parameters
you like. It also does other useful things with MIDI files for DKV users
and for players of tracker bar image e rolls. The utility is included with
all of my cds of music and is also available for free from the download
page of my web site. It is part of the utilities and docs folder zip file
but can also be downloaded alone for those who are not interested in the
other utilities. Some of the other utilities are for making floppies for
the DKV so you should really get the whole bunch.

It really is a great program and I will pass on all appreciative letters to
Richard.
