My group of DK friends are using 10-year old Lenovo (IBM) ThinkPads whose FD drive works perfect for this app (and run older Windows for various DK utilities) We also had hit-or-miss with various $10-12 TEAC brand external FD drives from AMZN If they didn’t work, they sent them back at AMZN cost Good luck! Other brands are hit or miss. I believe it has something to do with pin assignments. The best thing would be to "borrow" a UDF01, load the floppies to internal memory and then give the UDF01 back. Yamaha floppies are protected. As a result, generic USB floppy drives won't read the disks. There are a couple of drives that will work: Iomega #32633 LaCie #706018 Bill Love God. Love People. Make a difference. Is the UD-FD01 proprietary or would a generic USB floppy drive work? Thanks
