Ralph,

Great news!

Thanks for letting me know.

Was the LaCie the model I suggested? If not, can you tell me the model?

Bill,

   Just purchased a DKC-850 for my MX100.

Purchased both Floppy drives. The Iomega device did not work, but the LaCie device work perfectly.

I am not sure if Yamaha still has any UDF01s in inventory.

The best thing would be to "borrow" a UDF01, load the floppies to internal memory and then give the UDF01 back.

Yamaha floppies are protected. As a result, generic USB floppy drives won't read the disks.

There are a couple of drives that will work:

Iomega #32633
LaCie #706018

Is the UD-FD01 proprietary or would a generic USB floppy drive work?

Thanks
