Your Disklavier plays your piano keys on whatever is on Channels 1 and 2. If you connect a speaker, and have a built in tone generator, you would probably hear other MIDI instruments as well. There are 2 ways to check your files. You may need to visit the www.midiplayertools.com website for details. The first way is to look at your users manual to check the MIDI OUT settings and use something like L=1 and R=# or something like that. Also, while the file in question is playing, you can simply push the right arrow key on the control box (->) and see if any data is blinking on other channels beside 1 and 2 (L and R) The other way is to use 3rd party software to change the channel assignment.
