so much for your reply on the group. No worries, I'll keep working
with the folks in Buena Park on solutions for digital out. Yamaha
is know for it's quality electronics so I'm thinking it's a firmware or
software issue and not the circuit-board/port/output.
...more to explore with this fascinating instrument :-)
