First off this program is intended for the older dkv units that use double sided double density disks (720k) not the newer High Density disks (1.44 M). Do not tape over the hole on HD disks to try to fool the drive into thinking they are DD disks. Buy some DD disks, they are still available. If you can't find some, e-mail me and I'll tell you where you can get some at a good price. Heres how I make disklavier disks out of midi files for my dkv unit: 1. First get your double density disk and format it using your computer. (Note you can format DD floppies under Win98 but Windows XP does not appear to have this option.) 2. Use the midi to .fil utility (Mid2Eseq) to convert your midi file to a .fil file. The conversion .fil will be saved under the same directory as the original midi file. 3. Copy the .fil file(s) to your formatted floppy. (Drag and drop or use copy function in windows.) 4. Use the Eexplore utility to "explore" your floppy. It will list the .fil files and then you use the program to create a directory (Table of Contents) of all the .fil files on the floppy. You can also Name the disk title and name the songs.(.fil names). Thats it! stick the floppy in your disklavier and listen to the music.
