Not all disks are usable this way. The media is different between 720 and
1.4M. Some disk / computer /readers will work this way, others will not.

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this group and am the proud owner of a disk -w a wagon. As
far as 720 dd disk go a friend told me that if you cover the right
side hole on a hd floppy (opposite of the write protect hole)it
effectivly becomes a 720 dd. I've tried it and it works! I can format
on my disklavier or my pc. good luck Peter
