Sorry, but that will not work. The DKC500RX needs to connect to the 
Disklavier with a special cable that powers the control unit and handles the 
I/O (MIDI, communication with the disk drive, calibration tests, et cetera). 
The MIDI ports are for communication with the outside world.

The DSR1 has its own power supply and does MIDI I/O with the control unit of 
the piano using one set of MIDI ports and does MIDI I/O with the rest of the 
world using a second set of MIDI ports. The DSR1 does not handle calibration 
issues. That will still be handled by the original control unit of the piano.
