Disklavier

You have almost the oldest Disklavier made.  It will only play Yamaha ESEQ 
files from 720k double density floppy disks.  You can connect a computer via 
MIDI interface and MIDI cable to the MIDI IN port and play MIDI files from a 
jukebox program.  Starting with the MX100IIXG Disklaviers, they have 
updatable ROM, play MIDI files and use regular HD 1.44 disks.  THe tonal 
properties are the same because all those models you mentioned are built 
into Yamaha's finest upright piano, the U1.

At this time, no one on earth can convert a polyphonic wave file to a MIDI 
file; however you can now make wave files from MIDI files.  Yamaha may be 
able to sell you a copy of the owners manual.  Their number is 
1-800-854-1569.  Use the free dkvutils on this website on a computer that 
runs real DOS to "back-up" your PianoSoft floppies, or use AnaDisk.  You 
will need a supply of double-density diskettes - I get mine from 
www.shoplet.com.
