What is a midi file used for? The disklavier is a player piano (of sorts). Midi files are recordings and can be played on ANY device (even this computer). How much quality do you loose or gain in the clavinova vs disklavier? Is the clavinova as good? There is a new digital piano from Yamaha, the DSX500, is this marginaly as good as a clavinova or just another midi player? mark
