Re: MDR Record Mode

2003-07-28 by fkagel

I guess I am the guy you are referring to with the Roland. Actually
the wife has the Roland and I have the computer know-nothing.

I have stumbled on MDR, deeply buried, after skimming the manual. We
haven't recorder the DKV along with the rhythm section yet until I
clean up the rest of the MIDI tracks/channels, especially Channel 1,
which is the Piano keyboard on the DKV. Should make no diff with MDR
if a computer is outputting to the DKV. Again, we have to clean up
Channel 1; either that or disable to the MIDI source from
broadcasting in the omni mode.

The one thing I am not clear about is controlling the MIDI clock
source. The Roland is a great slave instrument but not a very good
Master controller. I would think I would want the clock to be
external to the DKV, yet be able to control tempo from the DKV. Hmmm,
back to the lab, Igor!

Just to let you know your feedback on this board is very much
appreciated even if I can't jump in as frequently as I'd like. I am
finding this thread and board invaluable.I am reading all the posts.

chance at recording his DKV playing with the percussion sounds on his
