Smartkey works like this : a few notes of the melody are moved by their
solenoid action, without touching the strik\ufffdngs. The "player" is
supposed to play them as soon as (s)he sees them move. In the joined
example, Autumn Leaves, the piano will "ask" you to play E F# G C,
and as soon as the last note is played, it will flood you with a
brilliant arpeggio, go on and after a while let you play a few more
notes and so on.
I am primarily interested in this because I could have the
actors-pianist give the cues for some of the musics of the show.
I join a few examples of the smartkey demo floppy I have. I your
connection is fast, I could send you the whole floppy...

Of course the trick won'work with a normal synth. I do not know if
clavinova has this feature.

As far as CueTime is concerned, I have no clue as to how it works... Do
you have clavinova examples?

Of course CueTime, as described but not explained in the manuals, could
be a very nice tool for what I have in mind, as I understand it ; seems
that the player can really control the tempo af a sequenced arrangement ?

Wow!

Thanks for your help !
 Jean
