HERE'S THE DEAL AND THE RULES 1. disklavier@egroups.com and PianoDiscUser@onelist.com are not merging now or ever. 2. Join one or the other or both 3. Their vault is inactive and never uploaded to - do that here - we all play midis. E-seq format stuff is fine (I prefer it personally) because we are first or foremost a disklavier group and there are utilities you can use to convert them to midi. 4. The tech talk about equipment should be segregated. Disklavier here and PianoDisc there. The Pianodisc board is too quiet right now anyway. It's a fact of life the Chevy fans hate talking about Fords and vice-versa. Courtesy dictates that we do it this way. 5. BE NICE! It amazes me how people e-mail things they would never dream of saying to the face of a person they have met. I am a prime example of this phenomenon, although I'm pretty obnoxious in person too. I've only thrown one person out of the group so far, but if I see consistent rude behavior, it could happen again. 6. If you have a complaint about what's going on, don't blast away, send a polite private complaint right to the offender or complain to me if you're too angry to be polite and I'll talk to them. If you attack on the board, people can't back down and do what you want without losing face and things escalate. 7. Spend more time collecting music and uploading it to the vault for all to share. Five people are responsible for 80% of the stuff up there and new contributions have been few and far between lately. 8. I make and enforce the rules. 9. If you have any questions, see rule number 8. ----- Original Message ----- From: Hoffman, Steve <Steve.Hoffman@...> To: <disklavier@egroups.com> Sent: Wednesday, March 01, 2000 12:38 PM Subject: [disklavier] Re: Disklavier egroup > No body is threatened by the PianoDisc folks.
