Todd, Would it be too much trouble to indicate in the new directory those midi files which are piano solo? Ensemble pieces typically fail on the MX-88 because the piano is at rest too much of the time and/or not carrying the melody. I've edited a few files by putting certain non-piano tracks on channel 1 but with modest success. Obviously, midis originally intended as piano solos perform best on the no-tone generator models.
