I don't own a disklavier, but I do own a Clavinova CVP 209 made by
yamaha.  My floppy disk light stays on all the time as well, this is
opposite of the way a computer's disk drive works.  This is the way it
was designed. It's suppose to indicate that their is power to the 
system.  Maybe the disklavier's floppy drive is the same way.
