Thought I should close the loop with the group members wondering if I ever got my DC3A working again. The answer is yes. As you may recall, the dead piano came to life with a new power supply circuit board, however I had no XG voices (just a playing acoustic piano) After several additional calls to Yamaha, they finally let me speak with an actual technician. I dusted off an old voltmeter as he asked me to look for supply voltages on the MA120 board. (It is my understanding that the MA120 board and the XG voices computer board work together to make the XG voices. Those voltages were correct. He then concluded that the MA120 board and/or the XG voices board was bad. To be on the safe side, he sent me both boards. After installing the boards... the piano works perfectly again! Despite the fact that it took 3 weeks to get the piano fixed, I am now a happy camper once again. Heaven help anybody else in my area that has an electronic problem with their piano, as the local technician is scared of that part of the piano. Thanks to all who helped me get the piano fixed. Happy New Year. Jim
