Re: [disklavier] MIDI FILE Disassembrer - Assembler

Good afternoon, everyone.

Specially look for the disassembler, is a program that converts MIDI
files to Text files and reverse the process.

It is useful if you want to inspect what is inside a midi file
without a sequencer that ignores some Meta events.

Very easy to use, but a little tricky to install (you need to
download 3 files)

For those who want to explore all MIDI events--including sequencer-specific meta events--and still stay within the confines of a MIDI sequencing program, I can recommend:

Yamaha's XGWorks for Windows
www.yamahamusicsoft.com

MidiGraphy for Macintosh
http://member.nifty.ne.jp/mmaeda/e/works.html

Midigraphy works on pre-OS X operating systems and runs in Classic mode under OS X. In Classic mode, you are unlikely to get MIDI I/O to work, but you can view and edit MIDI files.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
