PianoDisk vs Disklavier

2004-05-12 by minerl2001

You mention a lack of competition in your area for buying Yamaha. I
had the same problem (Eastern Washington state)and went looking on
the web. I found the Keyboard Centre in Canada. I bought a DA1A
for $18,300 - delivered!. All duties, taxes and shipping paid.
They took care of the entire deal. I sent $$ and they showed up
with a piano. They ship all over North America. This particular
model is not even available in the US market (4 foot 11 inch
conservatory model). The 5 foot 3 inch version which is available
in the US was $37,000 at my local dealer. Saving $19K was a no-
brainer. These pianos come out of Yamaha Canada with full warranty
etc. The one I got was a 100th aniversery special edition. These
are not gray market seconds or damaged. I'm not endorsing this
method of getting a piano, but you may want to check it out, it sure
worked for me and saved some serious cash.
