e-competition files

2004-05-30 by Mike McGregor

Greetings all, after a considerable absence from the Disklavier
internet scene. I haven't gone anywhere, just have been busy with
other activities.

I downloaded and auditioned a few of the "audition" MIDI files on
the e-competition web site. The performances are much improved over
last year's preliminary round of performances.

One problem I discovered is that when I download and extract the
ESEQ file collections and open each set within the Eexplorer
program, the duration fields remain "0.00" instead of showing the
timing of selections. (I like to indicate the selection timing on
my diskette labels.) By right-clicking on a selection within
Eexplorer and selecting "song properties" and then "save," the
selection timing shows up in the Eexplorer duration field. One has
to do this with each selection.

If anyone has a better technique, please share it with us!

Regards,

Mike McGregor

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
