Victor, I had a very similar problem with my Disklavier having trouble with recording and playing back pedal data. My problem was a bit different in that the piano didn't playback the pedal after I had recorded it whereas in your case, the opposite happens. The Yamaha Technical Support contact number is: 800 854 1569. I contacted the number and Fredy Atcheson at Yamaha got the case. Fredy was extremely responsive and provided excellent support. Prior to calling Tech Support, I unplugged the unit for 20 seconds (as several have suggested here). I also verified that the cable for the pedals was completely plugged in and that the sleeve that locks the cable into the socket is tight. If you can turn the sleeve then the pedals are not completely connected. Later that evening, I called Fredy on the phone while I was near my piano. He verified the pedal sensor board worked ok by having me run some tests. After, Fredy had me recalibrate the pedals using maintenance mode #3 and #4 from the control unit. He stepped me through the steps over the phone. After the pedals were recalibrated, the pedals recorded and played back fine. Hope this helps.
