John Q.,

I have enjoyed your posts and appreciate your contributions to this
group. Being a computer programmer myself (and somewhat of an amateur
musician) I have followed your company from both a technical and a
musical angle. I recently read a great article about your company at

http://www.pragmaticprogrammer.com/articles/zenph/index.html

I was wondering if you could share with us some of the plans you have
for the future and what types of music you guys are trying to
digitize/midi-ize first. Are you planning only on producing new CD
recordings of the works that you digitize or are you planning on
selling disklavier CDs too? I for one would love to be able to
convert some of my old Art Tatum and other jazz recordings to midi.
Can your technology handle piano when it is mixed with other
instruments and/or vocals? Even though I understand how lucrative
this technology could be for you and your company by partnering with
major studios, I'm also hoping that there might someday be a way for
average joes like myself to take recordings and extract the piano
tracks from them. It would make it a lot easier to learn to play like
the pros.

Thanks,

Carl Youngblood
