Hi Folks, I've recently joined this group and have read some of the past correspondence between members and am impressed with the knowledge people have. I have an Upright MX95 (serial # 4959049) which has a separate not built in Yamaha DKC5R Control Unit. The unit uses 720K 2DDformatted disks in ESEQ and has a MIDI function. Thanks to you guys I've been able to download a few MIDI tunes and play them through my PC running Windows XP Professional. I've also downloaded the dkvutilities program containing ESEQ Explorer, MID2ESEQ and ESEQ2MID,Veloset & dkvcopyI and need help with this. I'm trying to Copy downloaded FIL files & MIDI files on to floppys I can play through the Control Unit but am not getting anywhere despite following the readme instructions that came with the dkvutilities program. I'm not getting to first base. I can't seem to format 720K discs on my PC. The Format option in Windows is set to 1.4 and does not allow any other format option to be made; Can't format through Windows DOS. I've tried changing the BIOS (during boot up) to the 720K format option but the PC looks for a 5.25 drive. I've tried the different options in the floppy bios setup to no avail. If I format a disc in the Control unit the PC cant read it says unformatted disc. At the risk of boring people, I would appreciate someone guiding me through the steps I should take on the PC to achieve the format process that will allow me to convert MIDI and TIF files to the ESEQ the Disklavier will read.
