The DSR-1 is the only choice, and probably quite a bargain for $1295. It even includes a tone generator (thousands of MIDI voices) and the extra memory to run PianoSmart should you also buy a DCD1 CD player. Without a DSR-1, you can control the piano playing (MX100) from any computer using the MIDI out on the controller connected to the MIDI in on what you have. The Disklavier plays the piano keys from whatever MIDI information is on Channel 1 or Channel 2. Other MIDI channels would need to go through a tone generator to be heard (through powered speakers).
