It almost sounds like a soundboard rattle. Look for a foreign object lying under the strings. Sometimes kids will put coins or marbles inside the round holes in the plate. If you can't find anything on top of the soundboard, check the underside while the piano is playing, and by pushing upwards on various sections, see if the rattle goes away. Could be a loose rib. Another thing to try is put the lid down if it is propped up. If the rattle goes away, probably the case screws need tightened as well as the screws in the hinge that holds the two pieces of the lid together.
