Yes, you can easily insert a 9-conductor cable with Sub-D 9 pin connectors between the control unit and the existing cable. Such prefabricated cables are commonly found in computer stores. Mine is about 2 meters long, but I'm sure it could be longer without any loss of reliable performance of my Mark II DC3. In my case, I was weary of banging my knees on the control unit and craning my neck to read the display. subhash_rehan wrote: >Hi, I was wondering if I can extend the 15-pin cable that attaches to >the DKC500RW on my MPX1Z. > >I would ideally like to add about another 1 metre but was wondering if >it would be affected by noise causing the notes to be dropped etc. > >Further, are these types are cable easy to purchase or are they made up. > >thanks >Subhash > > > > > > > >To Post a message to the group, send it to: disklavier@... > >To Post a private message to Todd Muncy, the group's founder and moderator, send it to: >disklavier-owner@... > >To reach our group's web site go to: >http://Yahoogroups.com/group/disklavier > >Todd's family web site was completely updated 012/22/03.
