Hello Leon, I am glad to hear that the piano is now working as it should be. It is amazing how much dust and debris can collect below the keys of a piano. Bill Brandom Senior Technical Manager, Piano Division YAMAHA Corporation of America TEL (800) 854-1569 FAX (714) 522-9424 E-mail: bbrandom@yamaha.com Web: http://www.yamaha.com >>> lmonne@... 03/21/2006 8:31:37 AM >>> Thank you Bill, your answer was most helpful. The metal flag in the bottom of the problem key turned out to be on its place, but ... I noticed that a small piece of paper had fallen into the slot where the metal flag fits in, and that snip blocked the electric eye. As a result, the release of the key was not recorded. By the way, I was surprised about the amount of dirt I found under the keys. Some cleaning there from time to time can prevent things like this.
